Book Sarnia to Speak
Meaningful Talks on Motherhood and Movement
Speaking engagements, staff trainings, and workshops rooted in real motherhood, evidence-based movement, and practical strategies audiences can use.
Sarnia Ogidan brings personal storytelling, specialized movement knowledge, and practical teaching to conferences, staff trainings, panels, and community events.

Movement Support for the Realities of Motherhood
Her presentations address a gap that broad fitness advice often misses: what pregnancy, postpartum recovery, and the ongoing demands of motherhood actually ask of the body.
Whether you're planning a maternal health conference, birth worker gathering, staff development day, wellness event, or community program, Sarnia creates engaging presentations that help audiences understand the body more clearly and leave with practical tools they can use.
That can look like a full keynote, an interactive workshop, a hands-on staff training, or a guided movement break that helps participants reset between sessions. Each experience is shaped around the audience, the setting, and what the event needs most.

Past Speaking Highlights
Sarnia has spoken for organizations including Postpartum Support International, the National Institutes of Health (NIH), Merck & Co., Columbia University, Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and the American Diabetes Association, along with community and civic organizations such as the City College of New York, Houston Public Library, Healthy Harlem, and the City of Houston. She also speaks regularly for birth centers, OB/GYN clinics, mom wellness events, and perinatal provider networking groups.

Sarnia's path started in science, with degrees in biochemistry and biomedical science and time spent in lab research, including speaking engagements at the American Chemical Society, ABRCMS (the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minoritized Scientists), and national biomedical research conferences.
A second master's degree in health education and promotion moved her into building lifestyle management programs for families, and that same drive to bridge rigor with real-world practicality eventually carried her into prenatal and postpartum movement, and now into building movement support for maternal organizations.
Her goal is always the same: make complex information understandable, relevant, and useful in the real world.

Movement for Mental & Emotional Wellness
Why movement, including simple practices like walking, is more than just fitness, and how it can help moms move through overwhelming situations, stress, identity shifts, and burnout with purpose.
Rebuilding After Baby, One Consistent Step at a Time
A real talk on what core healing and strength rebuilding actually look like, and how small, sustainable, consistent actions, not perfection, are what actually help moms reclaim their bodies after birth.
Bringing Movement Into Your Organization
A practical staff training on weaving simple, low-barrier movement support into the care your organization already provides, no fitness background or dedicated space required.
Popular Topics:
Give the Room a Reason to Move
Long conference days can leave even the most engaged audience tired, stiff, and mentally checked out.
Sarnia leads guided movement breaks that help participants get out of their seats, reconnect with their bodies, and return to the next session feeling more alert and refreshed.
These segments can be used between speakers, after lunch, during a multi-day conference, a single company wellness day, or anywhere the agenda needs a purposeful shift in energy. The movement is approachable, inclusive, and designed to work in the space participants already have.
Movement breaks can stand alone or be added to a keynote, workshop, panel, or conference package.

What You Can Expect:
A strong speaker does more than deliver information. She understands the room, connects with the audience, and gives people something worth carrying with them after the event ends. When organizations bring Sarnia in, they can expect:
A relatable, professional, and dynamic delivery style
Engaging visuals, movement demos, and real-world takeaways
Every session shaped around your audience or industry
Specialized knowledge in pregnancy, postpartum recovery, core and pelvic floor function, and functional movement
A speaker who understands both the science of movement and the realities of motherhood
