Calm Her Body
Give the moms you serve a moment of calm, and give your staff the confidence to offer it.
Pregnancy and postpartum can bring moments of uncertainty, overwhelm, and heightened stress. In those moments, your staff may want another way to respond. Calm Her Body equips your team to help a mom pause, reconnect with her body, and feel steadier and more supported when she needs it most.

Movement Support Shouldn't Depend on a Mom Finding It Herself
You do not need to create a new department, hire additional staff, or build a fitness program to begin offering movement-based support. Calm Her Body fits naturally into the appointments, classes, workshops, and conversations your team is already having.
No dedicated exercise space required
No fitness background needed for staff or participants
No special clothing or equipment required
Can be used with one participant, a participant and support person, or a group
Designed to complement the support your organization already provides

Your Staff Learns It, Then Makes It Part of the Care You Provide
Calm Her Body begins with a live training led by Sarnia, either in person or live through Zoom. Your staff learns how to recognize moments when gentle movement may be helpful, choose an appropriate tool, and guide participants through it with confidence and care.

After completing the training, your team can bring Calm Her Body into the settings where support is already happening, from an intake appointment or individual consultation to a group class or workshop.

Your staff becomes equipped to offer calming, movement-based support in the moment, and moms leave with something they can return to on their own, whether that's in the car, at home, or in the middle of the night.
Greater Confidence in Moments That Can Feel Uncertain
When a mom appears tense, overwhelmed, or disconnected from her body, staff may recognize that she needs support without knowing what to offer next. Calm Her Body gives them a clear and practical way to respond.
Your team will be better prepared to:
Recognize when an individual or group may benefit from a calming pause
Choose a movement tool that fits the moment
Introduce movement in a way that feels supportive and invitational
Guide both seated and standing options
Adapt the experience to the setting, available time, and participants involved
Recognize when additional professional support may be needed

One Program, Many Moments of Support
Calm Her Body becomes part of the different ways your organization already serves moms and families, without asking staff to become fitness instructors or step outside their role. It gives them a practical way to help participants slow down, feel more grounded, and reconnect with their bodies.

Calm Her Body is not intended to replace counseling, medical care, or mental health support. It adds another layer of compassionate, movement-based support to the care and education your organization already provides.
A Calmer Moment Can Change the Rest of the Experience
When a mom feels overwhelmed, it can be difficult for her to absorb information, ask questions, or feel fully present in the support being offered. A brief opportunity to pause and reconnect with her body can help create a steadier environment for whatever comes next.

Calm Her Body helps your organization move beyond simply recognizing that a mom is overwhelmed. It gives your staff something practical, gentle, and supportive they can offer in that moment.

Help Shape Calm Her Body From the Beginning
Sarnia Inspires is currently inviting a small number of organizations to participate in the Calm Her Body pilot.

Pilot partners will receive live staff training and direct support from Sarnia while introducing the program within their own appointments, classes, workshops, and services. Your team's honest feedback will help strengthen the training and shape how Calm Her Body is implemented before it becomes more widely available.

This is an opportunity to bring a new form of movement support to the moms you serve while helping develop a program created specifically for maternal organizations.
